JK January 21 - January 27

January 23, 2013 - Created my wiki section, and began keeping records of my work in the lab. Assisted Ann Marie with cleaning 405 and the water tank. Ran some preliminary water tests with Ann Marie, then continued installing programs to the two new computers.

January 24, 2013 - Continued installing programs to the new computers, and ran into a major roadblock with the various ATI components. The drivers are all installed, and the preparatory components of the multimedia center were installed according to the instructions on the web page. However, the install of the multimedia center itself aborts abruptly, and with no error messages at the "preparing to install step". The intended multimedia center is nowhere to be found on the computer, and multiple other reports have been found online of similar problems, with no solutions offered.

January 25, 2013 - I completed the chemical waste safety training course, making me fully trained and completing my first full week in the lab.
